Vision & Mission

Our vision is to support and empower the deaf community by building their capacity to be
self-reliant and developing opportunities for them to be economically independent and at the
same time, sensitize the society to have better understanding, respect and acceptance of the
deaf people.

Our mission is to dedicate ourselves to create and ensure better opportunities for the deaf
through early intervention for age-appropriate language development and subsequently
providing them quality education, appropriate skills including guidance and counselling
services. We strive to ensure better academic, social and economic opportunities for the deaf,
enabling them to become self-reliant and better integrated into the wider community.

There are 1,15,527 deaf people in Haryana state and 50,72,914 deaf all over India as
per Census 2011, here is the district wise breakup.
