About Haryana Welfare Society for Persons with Speech & Hearing Impairment.
Haryana Welfare Society for Hearing & Speech Handicapped was established in the year 1971 with a view to providing education, vocational training, counseling, guidance, and remedial services to hearing impaired children and facilitate their all round development, self-reliance and rehabilitation. Imparting education to these children is the main focus/activity of the Society.
Hence the Society has set up seven Welfare Centres at Gurgaon, Hisar, Sirsa, Karnal, Sonepat, Nagina (Mewat) and Raipur Rani, Distt.
Panchkula. As per advice of the Government the name of the Society was changed as Haryana Welfare Society for Persons with Speech & Hearing Impairment. The facilities/services offered in these Centres are available to all hearing impaired children irrespective of their area, caste, colour or religion.
TheWelfare Centres/offices of the Society are situated in following area of the land:-
- Gurgaon – 15 Acres.
- Hisar – 3.5 Acres.
- Sirsa – 3.5 Acres.
- Karnal – 2 Acres.
- Raipur Rani 16 Kanals – 11 Marla’s
- Sonepat – 3 Acres.
- Panchkula (H.Q.) – 3649 Sq. mtr
- Nagina (Mewat) Approx. – 1 Acre

The general control of the affairs of the Society is vested in the Executive Committee. His Excellency the Governor, Haryana is the President of the Society and Hon’ble Chief Minister, Haryana is its Vice – President. Dr.(Mrs.)Anita Sharma is holding the charge of Chairperson of the Society. The Deputy Commissioner is the Ex-officio Chairman of the respective branch/centre in the district. The Society has continued its efforts to expand and promote its institutional as well as non-institutional services and activities in various parts of Haryana through its following Centres: –
